First ever State Level Inter School Quiz Competition by State pollution control board

The Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board is organizing the first ever State Level Inter School Quiz Competition namely “Himachal Enviro Quiz- 2022”on the occasion of World Environment Day 2022 on 5th June 2022 in association with “Nimyle Eco Friendly India Mission”, Suresh Bhardwaj,  Minister for Urban Development Housing and Parliamentary Affairs, Himachal Pradesh would preside over as Chief Guest on the occasion. The day-long event is being organized in H.P. University, Summer Hill.

It is worthwhile to note that month-long Quiz Competition had started with online registration on 7th May 2022 and ended on 17th May 2022 and 2988 public and private higher and senior secondary schools had registered 5909 teams across the State. District level online round was conducted on 20th May 2022 wherein 2754 schools and 4944 teams participated in the online quiz. Subsequent to the district-level online Quiz conducted on 20th May 2022, 3 teams from each district have qualified for the semi-final round (physical round) which is to be held at Shimla on 5th June 2022. These 36 teams will compete for the title of “First Himachal Pradesh Environment Champion”. Noted Quiz Master, Shri Venky Srinivasan (CEO, Nexus Consulting) shall conduct this State Level Inter School Quiz Contest. The winner of the competition shall become the Environment Champion of Himachal Pradesh.  Minister would declare the winner of the “Himachal Enviro Quiz- 2022” and distribute fabulous prizes among the winners at State and District Level along-with trophies and certificates of accomplishment out of 4944 teams. The event would be inaugurated by  Prabodh Saxena (IAS) Addl. Chief Secretary (Env., Science & Technology) cum Chairman, HP State Pollution Control Board.
