In a fatal crime, the state police recovered the dead bodies of two youth, residents of Delhi and an injured woman, after an alleged incident of gun firing inside a hospitality unit of Manali on Friday morning, confirmed the senior superintendent of police Kullu Gardev Singh.
The police recovered the bodies of deceased Sunny Sherawat(31), resident of RZ D67, street no.3, main Gopal Nagar nazab garh New Delhi and deceased Rishabh Saxena(32) of E7 Rohini, Sector-7, Delhi from Himalaya Oak Shuru hotel Manali, room number 102.
He said on the information of gun firing on June 24, 2022, at around 6.00 am, the police recovered the bullet-ridden bodies of two persons in a hotel room no. 102. The room was closed from inside, so the team entered it through the room’s balcony, he added.
Two or three bullets were found lying inside and outside the hotel room. The above incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed inside and outside the hotel.
According to CCTV footage and preliminary investigation, it has been found that this hotel was being run by two sisters Ravleen Kaur (32)Â and her sister Ashneet Kaur( 24).
The hotel is taken on lease from a local person Raj Kumar about six months ago. Ravleen Kaur Chabla was also injured in the incident.
Deceased Rishab Saxena is identified as the husband of Ravleen Kaur, and the other deceased Sunny Sherawat identified as boy friend of these two sisters. Rishab Saxena was running a camping business in Ghiyagi (Banjar) area.
SP said that as per the initial investigation, before the crime, Rishab Saxena had entered the hotel around 4.00 am with a pistol in his hand. After searching in a few rooms, he entered the hotel room no—102, where Rishab saw his wife Ravleen Kaur with deceased Sunny Sherawat.
As per reports, the deceased Rishab first assaulted and shot Sunny Sherawat and then shot himself. Earlier to firing, the assailant also hit his wife Ravleen, who suffered an injury in the forearm and is hospitalised at the civil hospital Manali for treatment.
The police have secured the incident site and taken footage of the CCTV camera and all the evidence in its possession. A forensic team also visited the incident site to investigate the crime.
