Shimla, March 25- COVID alert sounded by HP Govt
The Himachal Pradesh Government sounded an alert to State hospitals, also cautioned general public to follow Covid appropriate behaviour in wake of the sudden spurt in the number of Covid-19 cases in the state.
A press notification issued by Senior Medical officer of Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital Shimla Dr Rahul Rao, said that after receiving of a office order from State Secretary Health and Director Medical Education & Research hospital, it has been directed to prepare to control the arising situation due to Covid-19 in the near future.
Dr Rao advised that people should start wearing masks, especially in public or crowded indoor spaces.
Instructions also been issued that Social distancing norms should be observed strictly, and along with other precausions hand sanitization should be adhered to.
People should take precautionary dose of COVID Vaccination. People with influenza (Common cold) like symptoms should get tested for COVID-19 through RTPCR immediately.
Pertinent to mention that in the past one week COVID cases have multiplied at a faster rate. Currently, the State has 354 active cases. It was on Friday that 100 cases were recorded on a single day, thus raising the graph of worries.
Currently, no other instruments were issued from the Health authorities. School and Educational Institutions are opened in the state. In CBSE affiliated schools, Plus one classes are also starting from March 27. Whereafter all schools (Nursery to ten plus two) will now be operational in the state.
Meanwhile, the State Assembly is in Budget session, and Shimla polls are also likely to take place in April.
