Congress Faction in Himachal Simmers with Wrath Against Own Rule

Seems, a wrath is simmering in a Congress faction against their own rule in the eight months old Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu led Himachal government
Evidently a Congress faction in the hill state is expressing discontent against their own rule. They are upset about being ignored in favor of loyalists to the Chief Minister, particularly in the delayed appointment of office bearers in vacant boards and corporations in the state.
Noteworthy here that three posts of cabinet ministers are vacant in the Himachal government and many Chairman and Vice Chairman are also to be posted in various boards and corporations.
Former party PCC chief and MLA from Theog, Kuldeep Rathore, has raised questions about the party’s governance and cautioned that the simmering anger among party workers should be addressed, as they played a significant role in bringing Congress to power.
He also highlighted the plight of workers still facing political cases registered during the BJP government’s tenure and urged the Chief Minister to withdraw such cases. Rathore also expressed disappointment over the extension of some IAS officers after their retirement, emphasizing that the government should not favor retired officers at the expense of party workers.
Here it is also pertinent to mention that dissatisfaction among leaders and workers affiliated with former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, known as the Holilodge faction, has also been in public domain, as many of these workers feel that they are being consistently sidelined.
Kuldeep Rathore met with AICC Chief Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi to express his concerns about the unilateral appointment of board-corporations and the marginalization of other leaders.
