Shinla, Feb 27,
In a move towards enhancing healthcare accessibility and patient welfare, PGIMER Chandigarh has forged a groundbreaking collaboration with HIMCARE, a commendable healthcare scheme of Himachal Pradesh. This historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marks the initiation of a transformative initiative aimed at streamlining healthcare services and empowering patients through cashless treatment facilities.
Under this visionary partnership, PGIMER Chandigarh and HIMCARE will jointly implement a cashless treatment initiative, mirroring the success of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna. This initiative is set to benefit approximately 4000-5000 patients from Himachal Pradesh annually, ensuring that financial constraints do not impede access to quality healthcare.
The MoU, signed in the esteemed presence of key stakeholders including Prof. Vivek Lal, Director of PGIMER Chandigarh, and Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of HP Swasthya Bima Yojna Society, signifies a pivotal milestone in healthcare collaboration. Prof. Vipin Koushal, Medical Superintendent of PGIMER, and Dr. Ashwani Sharma sealed the agreement, solidifying their commitment to revolutionizing healthcare delivery.
Expressing profound optimism about the partnership, Prof. Vivek Lal highlighted PGIMER’s dedication to prioritizing patient well-being. He emphasized the institution’s unwavering commitment to providing exemplary healthcare services, irrespective of financial constraints.
Pankaj Rai, Deputy Director (Administration) at PGIMER, elaborated on the initiative, citing HIMCARE’s objective of providing cashless treatment benefits up to Rs. 5.00 lakh per year. He underscored the challenges faced by beneficiaries in the reimbursement process and emphasized the streamlined approach adopted by PGIMER Chandigarh to provide hassle-free cashless treatment.
With this collaboration, patients from Himachal Pradesh will no longer be burdened with complex reimbursement procedures. Instead, they will enjoy seamless access to healthcare by simply presenting their HIMCARE card at PGIMER Chandigarh, where cashless treatment facilities will be readily available.
This transformative partnership exemplifies PGIMER Chandigarh’s commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare delivery, setting a precedent for future collaborations aimed at advancing patient welfare and accessibility
