The six former Congress MLAs who recently left and joined BJP have been declared as the saffron party official candidates for Bye elections to be held on the six seats of Himachal Pradesh.
In a media release here today it was announced that Sudhir Sharma will be BJP Vidhan sabha bye poll candidate from Dharamshala. Ravi Thakur from Lahaul and Spiti, Inderdutt Lakhanpal from Barsar, Rajinder Rana from Sujanpur, Chetanya Sharma from Gagret, Ashish Sharma from Hamirpur and Davinder Bhutto has been announced the official BJP candidate from Kutlehar assembly constituency.
Noteworthy that these six incumbents were recently disqualified from Himachal Vidhan Sabha for defying party whip twice.
Pertinent to mention that the BJP may have to face rebellion from the six BJP candidates who lost their election on party ticket in 2022 as now they may feel ignored. Couple of party leaders already announced to fight elections as independent.
On the other hand Congress party has not declared any candidate for Lok Sabha nor for the bye election so far.
