Shimla, Sept 11,
In an effort to maintain law and order, the police conducted a late evening inspection in the Sanjauli market with the support of law enforcement personnel on Tuesday. Led by District Magistrate Anupam Kashyap, the inspection stretched from Sanjauli Chowk to Dhalli Tunnel.
During this time, the local residents were urged to cooperate in maintaining peace and order.
The District Magistrate emphasized that strict action would be taken against anyone violating the law and that miscreants would not be spared under any circumstances. Police forces will be deployed at every corner of the area to ensure safety.
Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi stated that Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code 2023 has been imposed in the area. More than 1,000 police personnel, including the Quick Response Force (QRF), have been deployed to ensure the security of the region.
Inspector General of Southern Range J.P. Singh, ADM Law and Order Ajit Bhardwaj, SDM Bhanu Gupta, Additional SP Navdeep Singh, Additional SP Praveer Thakur, ASP Ratna Negi, and other officials were also present during the inspection.
