Shimla. Nov 29,
Former Deputy Mayor of Shimla, Tikender Singh Panwar, has taken a strong stance against alleged violations at the historic Ridge Tank. He has filed an FIR against truck owners, police officials, and district administration officials for allowing heavy vehicles to ply on the vulnerable tank.
Panwar has attached video evidence to his complaint, showing large trucks and a crane on the Ridge Tank. Watch: https://youtube.com/shorts/4Vv0s0XFljs?si=D2escopaOaOt41Pu
He argues that such activities not only pose a threat to the structural integrity of the tank but also violate previous High Court orders that prohibit heavy vehicular traffic on the Ridge.
The former Deputy Mayor has expressed deep concern over the blatant disregard for environmental and heritage preservation. He has urged authorities to take immediate action against the culprits and ensure strict compliance with the court’s directives.
