The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, including Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, and Kullu, have received heavy snowfall, while lower areas have been experiencing intermittent rainfall in the last 24 hours.

The ongoing snowfall has led to disruptions in daily life, with road connectivity affected in several areas. Rohtang Pass recorded 75 cm of snow, Koksar 45 cm, Atal Tunnel North Portal 45 cm, South Portal 40 cm, Keylong 30 cm, and Udaipur 25 to 30 cm.
The state capital, Shimla, and nearby areas continue to experience rain and snowfall in the higher reaches, intensified the cold wave across the region.
The Meteorological Center in Shimla has forecast continuous snowfall and rainfall in Himachal Pradesh until March 4.
An orange alert has been issued for February 27 and 28 in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, and Mandi, warning of heavy to very heavy rain and snowfall.
A yellow alert has been placed for Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Kinnaur, and Lahaul-Spiti from February 26 to 28.
Light to moderate snowfall is expected in the higher reaches of Kangra, Chamba, Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Sirmaur, Lahaul-Spiti, and Kinnaur.
The Lahaul-Spiti administration has issued an avalanche advisory, warning of a Level 3 (Orange) danger up to February 27. Medium-sized avalanche triggering is possible on extreme slopes, and residents have been advised to restrict movement to only safe routes.
Authorities have urged travelers and residents to exercise caution, especially in snowbound areas, as the cold wave has intensified. Keylong recorded the lowest temperature at -3.6°C, followed by Tabo at -2.8°C, Kukumseri at -0.5°C, and Kalpa at 0.4°C. Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 7.4°C, Manali 2.1°C, Dharamsala 4.4°C, Mandi 11.8°C, Chamba 10.8°C, Dalhousie 7.9°C, and Una 10.2°C.
With prevailing weather conditions, authorities remain on high alert to manage any disruptions caused by heavy snowfall and rain.
