Adani Agri Fresh Ltd. has decided to fixed the rates for procurement at which it would buy apples from growers this season slightly higer price band. The new rates would come into effect from August 31, 2026.
The company would purchase apples at its centres in Rampur, Rohru, Sainj, Jarol Tikkar and Tutu Pani, covering the Shimla and Kullu areas.
The highest rate announced is Rs 108 per kg for LMS apples with 80–100 per cent colour. Last year, the rate for this category was Rs 85 per kg, an increase of Rs 23.
For apples with 80–100 per cent colour, the new rates are:
LMS: Rs 108 per kg
ES: Rs 89 per kg
EES: Rs 73 per kg
EL: Rs 60 per kg
Pittu: Rs 60 per kg
For apples with 60–80 per cent colour, the rates are:
LMS: Rs 80 per kg
ES: Rs 67 per kg
EES: Rs 54 per kg
EL: Rs 43 per kg
Pittu: Rs 43 per kg
For other categories, the company has fixed Rs 26 per kg for apples with 0–60 per cent colour, regardless of size. The rate for 0–100 per cent EEL and ROL apples is also Rs 26 per kg, while undersized apples will be purchased at Rs 20 per kg.
The increase is expected to bring some relief to apple growers, especially those producing good-quality and well-coloured fruit. The biggest increase is in the LMS category, which has gone up by ₹23 per kg compared with last year.
The revised rates will apply from August 31 across Adani Agri Fresh’s procurement centres in the Shimla and Kullu regions.
