Noted Himachali writer and advocate Bhoop Singh Ranjan presented his recently published Hindi poetry collection Gaon Ko Gaon Rehne Do to Supreme Court Judge Justice Sanjay Karol during his visit to Shimla on Thursday. The book was formally presented at the High Court Bar Room.
The collection comprises around 80 poems centered on rural life, reflecting the cultural ethos of villages and highlighting harmony among people across caste, culture, and religion. Justice Karol appreciated Ranjan’s literary contribution and acknowledged his continued service to society.
The poetry resonates with readers across age groups, capturing themes of humour, patriotism, and nostalgia rooted in rural traditions and folklore.

Ranjan has previously authored another notable work, Pahari Kavita kai Mitharai Bhol, and his upcoming poetry collection Kashak Kavita Kee is currently under publication.
He was also invited to the international literary festival Unmesh Literary Festival 2024, where he represented the region with support from the National Academy.
Apart from his literary pursuits, Ranjan serves as the convenor of the Chohara Jankalyan Sabha, an organization working for the welfare, protection, and rights of people living in the remote areas of Shimla district.
Before his legal and literary career, Ranjan was actively involved as a frontline trade unionist during his tenure with the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board.
