Shimla, July 24
As many as 281 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state of Himachal Pradesh today. Also the total active cases have risen to above four thousand mark at 4053. However no death has been reported as 113 people recovered from nCoV.
Even as the cases reported today, are almost half of the number reported on Saturday, however, the daily positivity rate still remains around 15 percent mark. As many 1915 samples were tested statewide, in the past 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate remained 14.6 percent. The same was reported to be 14.9 percent on Saturday and it was 15.9 percent on Friday.
Like everyday, Kangra reported maximum 127 new cases. Followed by Shimla 41, Mandi 37, Chamba 22, Solan 12, Kullu 11, Hamirpur 7, Una 8, Bilaspur 6, Kinnaur 6 and Sirmour 4 cases. Also tribal Lahaul and Spiti reported no cases today.
Till date, a total of 293969 people have tested positive for the infection, and 4136 people have lost life.
