Shimla, Jan 10
Another MBBS student was booked by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College Chamba for getting admission on the forged ground making it the second case in the State on the same anology. Principal of PT JLNMC Chamba Pankaj Gupta informed that an FIR was moved against a girl MBBS student from Nurpur area of Kangra district. Gupta informed that that the matter came fore when out of a 120 batch of newly admitted students, successful uploading of 119 student documents took place but in case of one the same was not getting accepted by the MNC website.
He added that the Medical College Chamba was already in knowledge of a similar case that took place in IGMC Shimla recently. Therefore the dealing staff cross verified the NEET score of the student and did not match with the actual marks.
The Principal added that the certificate of NEET submitted by the students reflected 530 marks but online NET score was found to be 240. The Principal alleged that the students must have edited the NEET certificate by using some software and increased the marks to 530.
Thereafter, the Medical University Nerchowk was also informed about tempering of document and it ordered to immediately cancel the admission and book the student.
Now the vaccant seat has been allotted to another eligible student. Though, the booked student has not confessed her crime but tempering was found in the documents which she submitted during the counselling. Principal said that student was trying to fool the admission process, by speculating that the documents will not be cross checked.
