Shimla, Mar 22
Responding to the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal last night, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of misusing central agencies to unleash political vendetta.
Gandhi, currently staying in Shimla, made a post today condemning the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. She stated that Kejriwal’s arrest indicates that the ruling party is targeting the Delhi CM before the Lok Sabha elections, labeling it unconstitutional.
Gandhi condemned the arrest, stating it indicated political targeting before the elections. She accused the Prime Minister of misusing central agencies like the ED, CBI, and IT to mount pressure on political parties and their leaders.
Gandhi highlighted that Kejriwal’s arrest marks the second time a Chief Minister has been jailed, which she deemed a shameful scene in India’s independent history. She criticized the lowering of political standards, stating it doesn’t suit the Prime Minister or his government.
