ARTRAC investiture ceremony 2023: Indian Army commends top-performing units
Shimla, April 27
The Army Training Command (ARTRAC) Investiture Ceremony held in Shimla on 27 April 2023 was a momentous occasion as the Indian Army recognized and celebrated the outstanding contributions of several units and establishments to its training and operational excellence.
The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Army Training Command, Lt Gen SS Mahal, AVSM, VSM, presented the highly esteemed COAS Cert of Appreciation to HAWS, Gulmarg, for their exceptional work during the training year 2021-22, informed a official spokesperson. Additionally, the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Unit Appreciation was awarded to five Category ‘A’ Establishments and an Affiliated Unit for their outstanding performance in enhancing the training ethos and standards of the Indian Army. These included the College of Materials Management (CMM), Jabalpur, Army Air Defence College (AADC), Gopalpur, College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune, Institute of Military Law (IML), New Delhi, Army Educational Corps Trg College & Centre (AECTC&C), Pachmarhi, and 6 Field Regiment.
It was a moment of particular pride for IML and AEC TC&C, which received the award for the first time since their establishment, reflecting their unwavering dedication to building a strong and resilient force for the 21st century, he added.
The Commandants and Commanding Officers of these proud establishments and regiment, along with their Subedar Majors, were honored to receive the appreciation from the Army Commander in recognition of their exemplary work. The ARTRAC Investiture Ceremony highlighted the Army’s commitment to maintaining high training standards and developing a highly-skilled and effective force. It was a testament to the Indian Army’s continued efforts towards excellence, and a proud moment for the country, concluded the spokesperson.
