Industrial township Baddi has been elevated to Municipal Corporation status. The Congress government of the state has notified the Municipal Corporation by increasing the status of Municipal Council Baddi in Solan district under sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 (Act No. 12 of 1994).
This information was given by Additional Deputy Commissioner Solan Ajay Kumar Yadav.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the land and buildings of Municipal Corporation Baddi have been exempted from payment of property tax for a period of three years from the implementation of the notification.
He said that the residents of the said areas will continue to get the customary rights provided in the Wajeeb-ul-Arz of the Record of Rights as before.
