Shimla, May 17
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Himachal Pradesh suspended Mahasu district office secretary Satvinder Singh from the party over alleged anti-party activities during the Nagar Parishad Theog elections.
According to a press statement issued by the BJP state unit here today, complaints were received by the disciplinary committee constituted for Panchayati Raj and urban local body elections regarding Satvinder Singh’s alleged involvement in activities against party interests during the Theog civic body polls.
After detailed deliberations on the complaint, the committee termed the matter a serious case of indiscipline and recommended disciplinary action to BJP state president Rajeev Bindal.

Acting on the recommendation, the BJP state president suspended Satvinder Singh from the party with immediate effect and relieved him from all party responsibilities.
The statement was issued by BJP Himachal Pradesh office secretary Pramod Thakur.
