Mandi/Shimla, July 9,
BJP National President and Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, during his visit to the rain-affected regions of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh, assured the people that the Central Government stands firmly with the state in times of disaster.
Speaking during his tour of severely hit areas like Nachan, Pangliur, Baga, Thunag and Sainj, Nadda said, “The Government of India has always stood by Himachal Pradesh in times of need and will continue to do so. We are fully committed to the state’s recovery.”
Recalling the devastation during the 2023 monsoon season, Nadda added, “I visited Himachal three times during last year’s tragedy and brought ₹3,146 crore in aid from the Centre. Recently, another ₹2,006 crore has been released under NDRF, taking the total support to ₹5,152 crore.”
He also emphasized that beyond financial aid, the BJP was the first political party to respond on the ground. “BJP workers were the first to provide food, shelter, and essentials to the affected. Relief camps and community kitchens were swiftly set up with public support,” he said.
Nadda reiterated that Himachal will never be left alone under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “As a representative of the Central Government, I assure the people of Himachal that we are and will always be with them,” he concluded.
