Bone chilling coldwave continues in HP,
Mercury at minus ten deg in Kaza

Mainly dry , partly fogy and icy coldwave condition prevailed in most places of Himachal Pradesh especially in the wee hours and night plumetting mercury about minus ten degrees below freezing point in the high reaches.
The Indian Meteorological Department predicted dry weather conditions in next three days. Minimum temperature was minus ten degrees at Kaza, in Spiti subdivision of Lahaul Spiti which was coldest in the state. Kukumesri in Lahaul Subdivision was minus eight, Kalpa in Kinnaur minus 3.4, Tourist favourite Narkanda and Manali minus 1.2 and minus 0.7, Solan remained minus 0.3 and Kufri (Shimla) zero degrees.
Shimla recorded 2.4, Airport Jubbarhatti five, Bhuntar airport 0.4, Kangra 2.8, Dharmshala four, Una 2.4 and Nahan (Sirmour.) 4.9 degrees.
IMD said that a weak western disturbances is heading towards the state, is likely to impact dry weather conditions by Jan 26 onwards. Under its influence the state is likely to receive mild to light rain and snow at isolated places in the higher reaches from January 26 to 28.
Also another WD likely to impact the dry weather conditions of state on January 30 and 31 which may increase chances of light rain and snowfall in few places of high reaches.
