A tragic accident occurred today at Sanel under Jubbal subdivision near the border of Himachal and Uttarakhand where two persons died tragically after being hit by a heavy debris which fell on the National Highway 707 at around 12:10 pm.
Sub Magistrate Jubbal Rajeev Sankhyan stated that a boulder rolled down from the mountainside, causing a Bolero vehicle with registration number HP 10B 2308 to get trapped.
The occupants of the vehicle, identified as Vishambar, son Keshav Ram from Palkan Post Office Village, Rohru Tehsil, Shimla district, aged 50, and Satish’s son Preetam Singh from Ghara Post Office Village, Loharkoti Tehsil, Shimla district, aged 52, were unfortunately trapped in the vehicle, informed a official spokesperson.
Despite rescue efforts, both individuals succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the accident.
Noteworthy that this NH is under construction.
