Bus accident in Kinnaur district leaves 19 injured
Shimla, June 13
A bus accident in Bada Kamba, Tehsil Nichar, Kinnaur District has left 19 people injured earlier today. The incident occurred around 9:30 AM local time, causing significant disruption and concern in the area.
According to reports from the HP-State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) in Shimla, the bus was carrying 24 passengers when the accident took place. Fortunately, there have been no reported fatalities at this time. The injured individuals have been swiftly transported to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Bhaba Nagar for immediate medical attention.
The SEOC is actively coordinating with the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) in Kinnaur to assess the situation and provide necessary support. Authorities have been alerted, and response efforts are underway to address the aftermath of the accident.
While the investigation is still ongoing, the causes of the accident have yet to be determined. Further details regarding the extent of damages or losses incurred are awaited from the DEOC Kinnaur. The HP State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) has been apprised of the situation; however, no specific assistance has been requested thus far.
Notably, this is the third HRTC bus accident in the State in this month. On June 1, an HRTC bus with registration number HP-03B 6211 had rolled down 300 feet from the road in Kshol near Karsog of District Mandi. This bus was carrying 40 passengers.

Similarly on June 1 in Barsheel sub-division of Rohru in district Shimla, a Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus crashed into a hill, resulting in 56 injuries.
Fortunately in all three accident, no lives have been lost.
