Cong won 3 seats, BJP retain two

In Sirmaur district, which is home turf of BJP president Suresh Kashyap, the ruling outfit failed to get any impact from the much hyped card played by Home Minister Amit Shah promising to decleared schedule Tribe status to ‘Hatti Community.
Here the rulling party could retain only one seat wrestling viz a viz Congress, which got total three seats in the district.
Counting of Vidhansabha Elections-2022 ended here on Thursday. Congress won from Renuka, Nahan and Shillai while BJP candidates won from Paonta Sahib and Pachhad.
The Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Reena Kashyap retained or defeated Congress candidate Dayal Pyari by a margin of 3857 votes from Pachhad Assembly Constituency. BJP candidate Reena Kashyap got 21215 votes while Congress candidate Dayal Pyari got 17358 votes. Independent candidate Ganguram Musafir got 13187 votes, CPI M’s Ashish Kumar 543, Aam Aadmi Party’s Ajay Singh 568, Rashtriya Devbhoomi Party’s Sushil Kumar Bhrigu got 8113 votes while 466 votes were cast in NOTA.
In a upset, Indian National Congress candidate Ajay Solanki defeated Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Dr. Rajeev Bindal by 1639 votes from Nahan Assembly Constituency. INC candidate Ajay Solanki got 35291 votes while Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Dr. Rajeev Bindal got 33652 votes. Bahujan Samajwadi Party’s Ayodhya Prasad Verma got 260 votes, Rashtriya Devbhoomi Party’s Salinder Singh got 297, Aam Aadmi Party’s Sunil Sharma got 387, independent candidate Ramzan got 118 votes and NOTA got 470 votes.
Indian National Congress candidate Vinay Kumar defeated Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Narayan Singh by 860 votes from Renukaji constituency. Indian National Congress candidate Vinay Kumar got 28642 votes while Bharatiya Janata Party’s Narayan Singh got 27782 votes. Jagmohan Singh of Rashtriya Devbhoomi Party got 2092 votes, Ramkishan of Aam Aadmi Party got 686 votes while NOTA got 485 votes.
As expected, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sukhram Choudhary defeated Indian National Congress candidate Karnesh Jung by 8596 votes from Paonta Sahib Assembly Constituency. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sukhram Choudhary got 31008 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Kirnesh Jung got 22412 votes. Bahujan Samajwadi Party’s Seema 203, Rashtriya Devbhoomi Party’s Ashwani Verma 367, Aam Aadmi Party’s Manish Kumar Thakur 5090, Independent Manish Tomar 3417, Independent Rameshwar 315, Independent Roshan Lal Chowdhary 1872, Independent candidate Sunil Kumar got 896 votes while NOTA got 495 and 77 votes were not found correct.
Congress candidate Harshvardhan Chauhan defeated BJP candidate Baldev Tomar by 488 votes from Shillai constituency. Congress candidate Harshvardhan Chauhan got 32093 votes, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Baldev Tomar got 31711 votes, Aam Aadmi Party’s Nathuram Chauhan got 488, Rashtriya Devbhoomi Party’s Suresh Kumar got 454 and NOTA got 525 votes.
