CBI conducts Raid at Kullu Sub Post office, recovers Rs 2 lakh cash
Shimla, Feb 6
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a series of raids at the Sub Post Office in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, leading to the recovery of approximately Rs 2 lakh in cash and several potentially incriminating documents. The operation was prompted by allegations of misappropriation of government funds against the Sub Post Master stationed at the office informed a CBI media communique.
Stationed at the Sub Post Office in Sultanpur SO, District Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), stands accused of embezzling funds amounting to approximately Rs. 36,30,125 between August 2023 and January 2024. It has been alleged that the accused also fabricated false Daily Transactions Reports to cover up the illicit activities.
The investigation into the matter continues as the CBI seeks to uncover the full extent of the alleged misappropriation and bring those responsible to justice. Further developments in this case are awaited as the CBI progresses in its inquiries.
