Shimla, June 6
Three individuals, including two women, lost their lives in a accident on the Rakh Bagga Bindla Samra Road in Chamba district. The incident occurred on Thursday morning when a Tata Sumo rolled down a hill. According to police sources, thirteen people were on board the vehicle at the time.
The accident resulted in the immediate deaths of two passengers, a woman and a youth, on the spot. Another woman, who was among the injured, succumbed to her injuries while being transported to the hospital. The vehicle involved, a Tata Sumo with the registration number HP01C 0871, was traveling from Samra to Rakh.
Upon receiving news of the accident, police promptly arrived at the scene and commenced an investigation to determine the causes. The vehicle had rolled down a hill on the Rakh Bindla Samra Road within the Gurad Gram Panchayat area of Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh.
Emergency services, including ambulances, were dispatched to the accident site. The ten injured individuals were immediately rushed to the Government Medical College in Chamba for medical treatment. Reports indicate that the condition of several of the injured remains critical.
The investigation by local authorities is ongoing to ascertain the exact factors that led to this incidence.
