Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday spoke to the father of Aditya Sharma, a Himachali sailor who lost his life in the recent US attack on a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz, and expressed deep condolences over the tragedy.
During the telephonic conversation, the Chief Minister conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family and said that the pain and grief of losing a son forever was unimaginable.
He noted that the sorrow of the family was evident in every word spoken by Aditya’s father, whose voice carried cherished memories of his son.
Expressing profound sadness over the untimely demise of the young seafarer, Sukhu said the entire state stands with the family in this hour of grief.
He assured them that the Himachal Pradesh Government would extend all possible assistance and support during this difficult period.
“I consoled Aditya Sharma’s father and assured him that the government stands with him during this difficult time,” the Chief Minister said.
Sukhu further informed that he has directed the Chief Secretary to make all necessary efforts to ensure the early repatriation of Aditya Sharma’s mortal remains to his native place.
He emphasized that the state government is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with the concerned authorities to facilitate the process without delay.
The Chief Minister also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
