
DySP Vijay Kumar Wins Medal at All India Police Shooting Meet, Continues Stellar Run

At a time when Himachal Pradesh continues to seek stronger representation in national sporting arenas, decorated shooter and police officer Vijay Kumar has once again delivered on the national stage, bringing recognition to both the state and the force.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Vijay Kumar of the Himachal Pradesh Police has secured an individual medal at the All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM) Shooting Competition 2025–2026, currently underway at the CRPF Group Centre in Gurugram.
The championship, being hosted by the Central Reserve Police Force from March 22 to 30, has drawn participation from top shooters representing police and central armed forces from across the country.
Vijay Kumar clinched the medal in the Pistol/Revolver event — 50 yards prone (SNAP), unsupported on elbow with double-hand grip — showcasing high levels of precision and consistency against a competitive field.
This latest achievement adds to his recent success at the All India Police Shooting (Sports) Competition held in Indore, where he had secured two individual bronze medals last month.

An internationally acclaimed pistol shooter, Vijay Kumar has represented India at marquee events including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games. He is also an Olympic medallist, a feat that continues to define his legacy in Indian shooting sports.
