Earthquake in Nepal: Strong tremors felt in Shimla and other parts of HP

Fear struck people and a number of them came out from their house in huff when strong tremors were felt in Shimla and other parts of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday at 1451 hrs, following earthquake with epicenter in Nepal. This was followed by number of tremors.
According to Meteorological Department epicenter of Earth quake was in deep Himalayas in Nepal at the latitudes of 29.39 and longitude of 81.23 and depths of five km. The magnitude of earthquake was 6.2 on the Richter scale.
A TV news media reported that in 53minutes, four earthquake were witnessed in more or less the same area. Data by the authorities indicate that between 1425 to 1519 hours, four quakes struck, shaking almost most of North India including Nepal. These four quakes were recorded at 3.1, 3.6, 4.6 and 6.2 on rector scale.
So far no loss of life or property has been reported in India.
The tremors also felt in other parts of Himachal Pradesh simultaneously.
