Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated in the state assembly on Tuesday that employees who are demanding pension should quit jobs and fight elections if they want pension for themselves. The statement was made by the Chief Minister in the state assembly while interacting on the point of order raised by a Congress member.
The Chief Minister stated that news of a hike in the travelling allowance of MLA has become viral and people are making fierce comments on it for talking about special provisions of pension for MLAs. Thakur stated that the remarks have been made in the social media that if there is no pension for the employees why for members of the assembly.
The Chief minister stated that those employees who are indulged in making comments against MLAs wanting to seek pension should quit the job and fight the election to avail MLA pension Scheme. The move was also appreciated by the members of treasury and Opposition benches thumping the benches in the house.
The Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that he would see the records if any remarks were made in the news items being published by the social media, news portal, electronic media and print media taking cognizance over the point of order.
