March 13 – Everester Amit Negi from HP to scale Annapurna, Makalu Peak , Lhotse and Dhaulagiri peak in 2023
Everester from HP Amit Negi shall be scaling Annapurna (8091 meter), Makalu Peak (8481 meter), Lhotse (8516 meter) and Dhaulagiri peak (8167 meter) from 15th March onwards this year. Hailing from Kinnaur, Negi, who scaled Mount Everest (8848.86 meters) in 2021 is the first civilian hiker from Himachal Pradesh to conquer world’s third highest peak Kanchenjunga (8546 meter) in 2022. Today here he met the Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu wherein he briefed about his itinerary for this year.

The Chief Minister wished him good luck for his new venture and said that Negi has brought laurels to the State by his feat and has displayed his courage and competence by scaling highest peaks of the world. The Chief Minster added that Negi is an icon for the youth, particularly amongst the adventure enthusiast and hoped that Amit will add many for feathers to his cap in his future endeavours.
