Shimla, July 5
Seeking #FIR against BJP leaders for making an alleged fake video of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress state unit complained with the #SP Shimla in this matter, demanding action against the culprits.
A delegation led by Shimla district president Jitender Chaudhary submitted a complaint to SP Shimla Monica Bhatnagru seeking action against those involved in making the fake video and subsequently giving statements and linking the accused of #Wayanad to the #Udaipur incident to defame Rahul Gandhi.
Earlier, #Congress National Spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore said in a press conference held in Shimla that the hideous face of the Bhartiya Janata Party is constantly coming to the fore. Rathore said that by leaking such false videos, BJP is trying to create communal tension in the country and spread religious frenzy. The atmosphere is spoiled by making brothers fight amongst each other for political gains disturbing the religious atmosphere before the Gujarat and Himachal assembly elections.
He said that even a news channel tried to malign Rahul Gandhi’s image by playing edited videos. But, the news channel apologized as soon as were threatened of being taken legal action.
Congress had demanded action by sending a complaint letter to the BJP also. However, the spokesperson of Congress took a jibe at BJP National President JP Nadda and said that till now, had taken no action, against BJP leaders who made and circulated the edited video of Rahul Gandhi’s statement.
