After heavy rainfall and snowfall in the high line areas of Baijnath of Kangra district the flashflood submerged many vehicles and water logging the many houses. Devi Chand Thakur SDM Baijnath told Himachal Scape that incident occurred this afternoon around 2 pm. Heavy rain water caused cloudburst and three to four vehicles were washed and water also entered in many houses. A team of revenue official went to access the loss and no one is missing or injured in the natural disaster, so far. He said that and heavy rainfall triggered devastating flash floods in Luwardi village of the remote Chhota Banghal valley, damaging 14 houses, a middle school building, and burying four vehicles under debris on Friday morning.

According to reports, continuous heavy rain over the past 48 hours has paralyzed normal life in the valley. Several villages remain without power after supply poles were uprooted, while landslides and fallen trees have blocked major roads leading to Multhan, Luhardi, Barot, and Kothi Kohar. Hundreds of vehicles are currently stranded as most roads are either covered in snow or obstructed by large boulders.
According to local media reports arriving here to avert further mishap the floodgates at two mine hydel projects in the valley to prevent further damage. Additionally, various camping sites along the Uhal river have suffered significant destruction.
The district administration has issued an advisory, urging tourists and locals to avoid rivers and streams, as the Meteorological Department has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall (Orange alert) in the next 12 hours.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation, with further updates expected as relief operations progress.
