The special investigation unit of the State Vigilance and Anti-corruption bureau has now revealed that a fourth paper of drawing master is also confirmed to have been leaked through the scrapped Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur.
Among the other papers leaked include JOA, Auditor, and JOA(IT) examination.
It is worthwhile to mention that SV&ACB had confirmed leak of three papers earlier, moreover Commission was scrapped recently as the investigation indicated that 18 papers may have been leaked.
SV&ACB stated that investigation conducted by the team so far, has found sufficient evidence about leakage of written examination paper for 314 posts of drawing master. The test was conducted during the former BJP government period.
The investigation revealed that Vigilance has registered an FIR in this matter in Hamirpur and has started further investigation.
It is worthwhile to mention that the notification for 314 post of DM was advertised on 24 May 2022. Thousands of youths had appeared in the test and the commission had also released the result of the written test. Afterwards 971 candidates were shortlisted for 314 posts. Later now, the verification of the documents of these 971 candidates was also done from 16 December to 22 December 2022. These candidates were now waiting call letter for the jobs. However now after this revelation by the vigilance, the results of this post may get delayed.
Among the papers leaked include JOA, Auditor, JOA(IT) and DM examination. Meanwhile, State council of ministers today decided to provide more teeth to Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission by bringing the Commission under ambit of Himachal Pradesh Prevention of Malpractices at Universities, Board and others Specified examinations Act, 1984 in order to avoid malpractices, to ensure fair and transparent selection of candidates on merit.
State Government recently took the decision to scrap HPSSC Hamirpur after state agencies probing the paper leak scam found that total 18 paper being conducted by HPSSC could be leaked. Even during the previous State BJP government regime, a paper leak case of police recruitment was reported, which was being probed by the CBI.
