Shimla , June 22
The State government government has changed the date of the scheduled Himachal cabinet meeting . By issuing a notification this morning , the government had fixed a cabinet meeting on June 25, which was scheduled to be held on 23rd June. Sources inform that the change in the cabinet has been done because of BJP’s Tridev Conference in Solan. All cabinet ministers have been informed about this.
In the meeting now proposed for June 25 approval can be given to fill the vacant posts in various departments. The State Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh has written a letter to all the departments demanding information about the vacant posts. Earlier, in the conference of Chief Secretaries across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also instructed all the states to fill the vacant posts. After this, the Chief Secretary wrote a letter to all the heads of departments and instructed them to give the details of the vacant posts . Obviously, the departments will have to prepare a proposal to fill the vacant posts today and tomorrow and send it to the cabinet. The proposals are likely to be discussed in the cabinet. Also, approval can also be given to upgrade various institutions of health, education and revenue in the cabinet. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has been making many poll year announcements since the last two months. Based on the promises by the Chief Minister announcements are likely for up gradation of PWD, Jal Shakti Department, Revenue, Education and Health institutions in many areas.
It is being told that a discussion on outsource policy is also possible in the cabinet.
There may also be a discussion in the cabinet to remove the rider condition imposed for the entire scale after regularization.
Moreover, the state government has long been tempted to formulate a policy for outsourced employees. The draft of the policy has been finalized by the Cabinet Sub Committee and if the sources are to be believed, so far six agendas have been included in the agenda of the cabinet. By tomorrow evening , the agenda items may increase. .
