Higher reaches in HP blanketed in fresh snowfall as State braces heavy downpour

Himachal Pradesh has received a fresh spell of snowfall in the high reaches, while the state has witnessed heavy downpour and inclement weather conditions over the past 24 hours.

As per the information received from the 94 Road Construction Coy of BRO, the Udaipur Pangi Killar Highway (SH-26), which was closed for vehicular movement near Bhim Nala Thirot last evening, has now been opened for vehicular movement.
According to the Met Office in Lahaul-Spiti, Gondla had 6.5 cm, Kukumseri had six cm, and Keylong had two cm of snowfall.

Jogindernagar (Mandi) had 46 mm of rainfall, while Manali had 36 cm, and Kotkhai (Shimla) and Bhunter (Kullu) had 35.2 mm of rainfall. Chamba received 33 mm, Shimla 31.7 mm, Kufri & Palampur 27 mm, Dalhousie and Mandi 20 mm, and Dharmshala 15.4 mm of rainfall.
The minimum temperature in Keylong plummeted to minus 0.1 degrees Celsius. The tourist favourite Narkanda recorded a temperature of 4.4 degrees, Manali six degrees, Kalpa 5.4 degrees, Dalhousie 7.9 degrees, Shimla 8.8 degrees, Bhuntar airport 11.3 degrees, Dharamshala 11.4 degrees, Una 16.7 degrees, Nahan 18.9 degrees, Solan 13 degrees, Kangra 15.8 degrees, Mandi 15 degrees, Bilaspur & Hamirpur 17 degrees, Chamba 14.2 degrees, and the Airport Jubberhatti 11.7 degrees.
