Shimla, July 26,
The Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), a NAAC accredited ‘A’ Grade institution, will conduct admission trials under the cultural quota for the 2025-26 session on July 25, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the office of the Dean Students’ Welfare, HPU, Shimla.
Candidates who applied under the cultural quota must appear for the trials on time. They are required to bring all original certificates, including participation in Himachal Pradesh University Youth Festival (HPUYF) over the past three years, Matric, 10+2, graduation, bonafide/Himachali certificates, the downloaded application form, and photocopies of these documents.
The university has clearly stated that no TA/DA will be paid and no excuse for late reporting will be accepted. Absentees will not be considered for admission under this quota.
All department heads have been asked to submit cultural quota admission forms along with supporting documents and seat details by July 24, 2025. Forms submitted after this date will not be accepted, as scrutiny is scheduled prior to the trials.
The Computer Centre has been directed to inform shortlisted candidates via email and SMS, while the Public Relations Office will ensure publicity in local newspapers.
This process aims to recognize and encourage students with cultural achievements in university admissions, reinforcing HPU’s commitment to holistic education.
