Shimla , March 24- IMD forecasts more rain or snow in Himachal

Rain or snow in most places of Himachal Pradesh is likely in the next 24 hours. The Met Office said in a press release issued here today that a western disturbance is affecting weather conditions in most places of state, as widespread rain along with thunderstorms, lightening and hail is likely to occur in few places of mid and foothills and light to moderate spell of snow on high reaches may plummet mercury.
A Yellow warning of Thunderstorms and lightening accompanied with hail storm is issued for a few places for today and isolated places tomorrow. Inclement weather would continue till March 28 in the state.
The Sky was partly to mainly cloudy since this morning and isolated places recorded light rain fall in past 24 hrs. Tourist favourite Dalhousie recorded one mm rain and Kalpa,(Kinnaur) 0.2 mm.
According to Border Road Organization and District Administration till this morning Manali Leh NH – 3 was open for all types of vehicles up to Darcha. Further Darcha to Shinkula NH is open for local four by four vehicles from 9.00 hrs to 1500 hrs. The Pangi- Killar State Highway -26 is open to all types of local vehicles however Kaza NH-505 from Gramphu to Kaza and Sumdo to Losar is snowbound.
Minimum temperature was below normal in the state as Shimla recorded 7.8 degrees, Bhuntar 6.7 degrees, Kalpa 1.4 degrees, Dharamshala 11.4,  Una 10.8 degrees, Nahan 14 degrees and Keylong minus 1.3 degrees.
Minimum temperature of  Solan 7.8 degrees, Manali 4.4, Kangra 11, Mandi 9 degrees, Bilaspur 12.5 degrees, Hamirpur 10 degrees, Chamba 9.9, Dalhousie 8.3 degrees, Airport Jubbarhati 10.2, Kufri 6 and Narkanda 4.5 degrees.
