The President of India has appointed Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia as the new Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court. He will succeed Justice MS Ramachandra Rau, who was recently transferred from this position.
The appointment, notified by Rashtrapati Bhavan on December 23, 2024, recognizes Justice Sandhawalia’s distinguished service as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
