Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla administered the oath of office to Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia as the Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court in a solemn ceremony held at Raj Bhavan on Sunday.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, senior judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, members of the state cabinet, and other distinguished dignitaries.
Justice Sandhawalia’s appointment was notified by Rashtrapati Bhavan on December 23, 2024, highlighting his exceptional service and contributions to the judiciary during his tenure at the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
