Shimla, May 27
“ Congress and alliance leaders will tear each other’s clothes from June 4.”
BJP Mandi Lok Sabha candidate Kangana Ranaut, during her campaign in Balh Assembly, launched a scathing attack on Congress and the INDIA alliance. She boldly predicted that starting June 4, Congress and IND alliance members would turn on each other. Kangana claimed that by the evening of June 4, the IND alliance would accuse Congress of sinking their electoral chances, leading to internal chaos. She stated that the Congress’s royal family would conveniently place the blame on Kharge Ji before jetting off abroad for vacations, leaving him to face the wrath of frustrated party workers.
Kangana praised the Modi government’s landmark achievements, highlighting the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which fulfills a 500-year-old dream, and the historic abrogation of Article 370, bringing unprecedented peace to Jammu and Kashmir. She lauded Operation Ganga, emphasizing how it showcased India’s robust global stance under Modi’s leadership. Kangana asserted that India has emerged as a formidable global superpower, leading the world across various domains, all under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Una, Kangana remarked that his political career is as much of a ‘flop’ as his ‘rally’. She accused Congress of peddling false assurances and unrealistic dreams. Kangana pointed out that despite being in power for 16 months in Himachal Pradesh, Congress has failed to deliver on any of its promises. She underscored the unfulfilled pledges of ₹1500 per month for women, ₹2 per kilo for cow dung, ₹100 per liter for milk, 5 lakh jobs for the youth, and 300 units of free electricity for families.
Kangana fiercely criticized Congress’s appeasement politics, accusing them of systematically excluding Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes from reservation benefits in minority institutions. Referencing a Calcutta High Court order, she highlighted that the West Bengal government’s attempt to include several Muslim groups in the OBC list was overturned. Kangana alleged that Congress and its allies are fundamentally anti-reservation and would dismantle the reservation system on a religious basis if they came to power. She accused Congress and its alliance governments in various states of repeatedly tampering with the reservation policies to suit their agenda.
