Shimla, Feb 17,
A fire consumed the house of former Gram Panchayat Pradhan Susheel Chauhan in Kyari village, located in the Kotkhai subdivision of the district, during the early hours of Tuesday. The blaze caused extensive damage to the property and resulted in several injuries.
According to initial reports, the fire broke out at Susheel Chauhan’s house, but the exact cause of the incident is still under investigation.

Residents noticed the flames engulfing the structure and rushed to the scene to try to extinguish the fire before the fire brigade arrived. During the firefighting efforts, some individuals suffered burn injuries and were taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, their condition is reported to be stable, although official confirmation is still pending.
The fire that consumed the former Pradhan’s house in Kotkhai, Simla district, has raised concerns among local residents regarding fire safety measures in the area. Investigations into the cause of the blaze are currently underway, with authorities seeking to ascertain whether it was accidental or the result of negligence.
