Police have detained one person in connection with the murder of J.S. Nindi, the director of KTS School in Ochghat near Solan. The incident occurred on Wednesday night following a reported altercation over a property dispute.
According to preliminary investigations, Nindi was allegedly attacked by a close relative wielding a sharp-edged weapon. The accused, who had arrived in Ochghat a few days earlier, reportedly argued with Nindi over the dispute. In a fit of rage, the accused, identified as Nindi’s nephew, attacked him.
Nindi was immediately rushed to MMU Sultanpur Hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors. Following the incident, police dispatched a team to Ropar, where the main accused was apprehended.
The police have also detained another individual for questioning in connection with the case. Meanwhile, Nindi’s body has been sent to IGMC Shimla for a post-mortem, and a forensic team from Junga has been called to aid the investigation.
Sources revealed that the main accused, now in custody, is being interrogated. Nindi, who had been running a boarding school in Ochghat for several years, had an ongoing property dispute with his relatives, which appears to have escalated into this tragic incident.
