Minor reshuffle in HP bureaucractic circle
Shimla, March 7
In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh issued transfer orders on March 6, 2025, appointing three officers to new positions.
Rajesh Sharma, IAS (HP:2008), currently serving as Secretary (Rural Development & Panchayati Raj) and holding the additional charge of Secretary, Human Rights Commission, Himachal Pradesh, has now been assigned the additional charge of Secretary (General Administration Department). This move relieves Sh. Devesh Kumar, IAS (HP:1998) of this responsibility.
Dr. Nipun Jindal, IAS (HP:2014) has been relieved of his additional charge as Managing Director, H.P. State Electronics Development Corporation, Shimla.
Virender Sharma, HPAS (2007), serving as Registrar, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and also holding additional charge as Labour Commissioner-cum-Director of Employment, Himachal Pradesh, has been transferred as Managing Director, H.P. State Electronics Development Corporation, Shimla. However, he will continue to hold his current additional charge until further orders.
