Shimla, Sept 11,
Taking the total to five, today two more students from Bahra University in Waknaghat, Solan district, have been apprehended in connection with a alleged ragging incident.
The incident came to light when a student complained of being forcibly removed from his hostel room, physically assaulted, and subjected to verbal abuse by fellow students. Following an investigation, the police arrested three individuals on Tuesday.
The university administration also took disciplinary action, expelling all five students involved in the alleged hazing. However, concerns have been raised regarding the lack of action taken against the hostel warden, who has been accused of negligence in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students.
The police are continuing their investigation into the matter and are examining the criminal histories of the arrested individuals.
