
Nature’s Surprise: Chamba shaken by light tremors
Shimla, July 11
Chamba district, after experiencing a staggering 131 mm of rainfall, was jolted by a mild tremor in the early hours of today, as confirmed by the Indian Meteorological Department.
The tremors, measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale, struck Chamba town in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday morning at 01:04 hours. Although local residents felt the shock, there have been no reports of property damage.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a latitude of 32.65 degrees and a longitude of 76.57, approximately five kilometers deep within Chamba town.
