NDRF Rescues Five Persons Stranded in the Middle of Beas River
Shimla/Kullu, July 9
In response to the flash floods, landslides, and heavy rainfall that have affected the local population, the State Government has requested the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to expedite rescue and relief operations.
Led by Commandant Baljinder Singh, Deputy Commandant Ops Dharmender, and Team Commander Commandant Shashi Kumar, an NDRF team successfully rescued five individuals who were stranded in the Beas River near the camping site in Kullu.

The victims, who were in a highly precarious situation, were stranded at a location deemed most threatened in the Beas River, located in the village of Charudu, Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, a tragic landslide occurred at a house in Panewali village, part of the Madhavani Gram Panchayat in Kotgarh sub-tehsil. At the time of the incident, five people were inside the house.
Unfortunately, three individuals lost their lives in the mishap. The two survivors, identified as Jaichand and his wife Bina Devi, sustained minor injuries but were successfully rescued from the damaged house.
The deceased have been identified as Anil (30 years old), Kiran, and Swapnil (11 years old). The bodies of all three have been recovered.
