Shimla, Dec 11,
State Congress President Pratibha Singh minced no words over the prevailing agony of not having a Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC).
Addressing a public meeting at Lahuno ground in Bilaspur, Ms. Singh scolded the stage manager, stating that she should not be halted when she wants to speak about the formation of the HPCC unit.
She said that Congress in-charge Rajiv Shukla was here and the party and government were together, but the AICC should decide on the HPCC unit.
She added that Congress workers were with the party, which was also reflected in the huge turnout at the rally. She mentioned that the party had started a program to take the party cadre into confidence for development work, with a minister also sitting at the Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan every week.
She accused the Narendra Modi government of not helping the state during its two-year rule, leaving the people of the state helpless by not releasing any funds for disaster management when people were in dire need.
