NR to restore train services on Kalka-Shimla heritage Railway line on September 30Â
Shimla, Sep 11
The Northern Railway would restore train services on Kalka-Shimla heritage Railway line on September 30 after a gap of two-months.
Toy train services on the heritage route were snapped after the cloudburst near Shiv Baudi near between Jutogh & Summerhill station on August 14, 2023, washed off a 100 meter long track due to a flashflood.
Â
The track was also affected at about one dozen other places, which was partly restored last week between Kalka and Koti Rail line, on about a 16 km long route. Â
Â
The Official spokesperson of NR Railway informed that train services between Kalka and Solan would be restored on September 16 and it would be made functional till Shimla till September 30 in a phased manner.
