A question regarding the officials and employees included in the ODI (Officials of doubtful integrity) list and the benefits of service extension or reappointment being granted to them came up in the Vidhan Sabha under Question No. 2319.
Raising the matter on behalf of MLA Satpal Satti, Randhir Sharma MLA sought a detailed list of such officers/employees who were provided extensions or reappointments, along with reasons for their reappointments department-wise. He also asked how many officials had been removed from the ODI list in the past two years and requested their names, designations, and departments.
In its initial response, the government stated that the information was still being collected and would be shared soon. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reiterated the same in a verbal reply, assuring the House that the details would be furnished at the earliest.
The issue of the ODI list has often triggered debate, with opposition members pressing for transparency on appointments, reappointments, and service extensions.
