Shimla, March 13 – Political Milieu turning hostile against party : Cong MLA
The Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government seem to losing connect with masses especially tribal people as the ruling party MLA stated that Political Mileu has started turning hostile as there is undercurrent against it. Son of former Congress leader and Member of Assembly from Lahaul Spiti has increased the worries of State government by going public over alleged discrimination with people of Lahaul& Spiti.
” People of the International border district are showing restlessness as posts of three Subdivision Magistrates of Keylong, Kaza and Udaipur including BDO and Naib Tehsildars are laying vacant in the district. The said post have been vacant before assembly elections. He said the dereliction of duty by the state government is costing to the career of students, who wants Bonafide and Tribal Certificates to join their jobs, or for studies in other institutions outside the district. They are feeling agitated and are turning hostile as these citizens are restless due to failure of the entire system.
He said that he had been raised the issue with Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, yet, after three months of formation of Government no SDM was posted in the district. He said that he is feeling now that despite having positive vibe in favour of Government initially now the atmosphere may turn hostile as people are not able to get their day to day works done, due to the void being created in lack of postings of key officials.
He said that he was forced to raise voice to party president Pratibha Singh, when public grievances were not addressed by the own party rule in the state. It is worthwhile to mention that Ravi Thakur is Congress member of Assembly from Lahaul-Spiti district. He is son of former Congress MLA Lata Thakur who was once considered close to Nehru-Gandhi power corridor.
