The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will visit Himachal Pradesh from April 30 to May 5, 2023, and will stay at Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra.
On April 30, 2023, the President will arrive to inaugurate the Retreat at Mashobra. She is scheduled to arrive at Jubbarhati airport around 11:30 hrs.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Partap Shukla may also offer dinner to the President of India. During her stay at the Retreat, the President may interact with the council of ministers and offer high tea to the media.
On May 5, the President is scheduled to return to New Delhi.
The Retreat or Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra, is a 173-year-old heritage building located in the picturesque surroundings of Mashobra, Himachal Pradesh. The estate has a plinth area of 10,628 sq. ft. and comprises the main building, lawns, orchards, and nature trails. This retreat is visited by the President of India almost every year during summer.
President of India, Droupadi Murmu, had graced the opening of Tulip Garden at Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra, in Himachal Pradesh on April 18, last year.
The Tulip Garden, now open to the public since 2023 along with the main building of Rashtrapati Niwas, its lawn, and orchards, features a range of tulip varieties, including Strong Gold, Denmark, Velemark, Jumbopink, and Laptop.
